Our Story
UBA America operates in the United States as a Branch of a Foreign Banking Organization, United Bank for Africa (UBA Plc) with a rich history spanning over seven decades.
UBA America commenced operations in 1982 as a Representative Office, and subsequently obtained a banking license in 1984 to operate as a Federal Branch in New York. The Cayman Islands branch was established in 1987.
The bank supports and facilitates trade, investment, development
and capital flows between Africa and North America.
We offer Correspondent and Corporate Banking as well as Treasury services to our global customers across key sectors, which include Financial Institutions, Sovereigns, Multilateral and Development Organizations.
